The aim of this activity, made with students from the School of Art and Design of the Balearic Islands, was to make known and practice the possibilities of reflective materials, which produce a mirror effect, or reflect light in a pure way, or try to camouflage the reality around us. The search for spaces, the preparation of material, the installation of interventions in the street, and the documentation of the interactions that take place with the public were put into practice. The title “other perspectives” refers to the constant need to explore our reality through various means or actions, which can be translated into artistic proposals or materialized in other broader fields.
L’objectiu d’aquesta activitat, realitzada amb alumnes de l’Escola d’Art i Superior de Disseny de les Illes Balears, és donar a conèixer i practicar les possibilitats dels materials reflectants, que produeixen un efecte mirall, o bé reflecteixen la llum de manera pura, o bé intenten camuflar la realitat que ens envolta. Es posaren en pràctica la recerca d’espais, la confecció de material, la instal·lació d’intervencions al carrer, i la documentació de les interaccions que es produeixin amb el públic. El títol “altres mirades”, fa referència a la necessitat constant d’explorar la nostra realitat per diversos mitjans o accions, cosa que es pot traduïr en propostes artístiques o materialitzar-se en d’altres camps més amplis.
